Fact-Checking Policy
At Taza Times Now, we are dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and integrity in all our content. Our Fact-Checking Policy outlines our commitment to providing our audience with reliable and verified information across all platforms.
a) We employ rigorous fact-checking procedures to ensure the accuracy of our content. Our journalists approach every claim with scepticism, question assumptions, and challenge conventional wisdom.
b) Our dedication to precision is essential to upholding our reputation and fostering trust among our audience. We strive for due accuracy in all our output, ensuring that information is adequate and appropriate to the subject and nature of the content. We are transparent about any constraints that may influence accuracy expectations.
c) All our output is thoroughly researched, well-sourced, and corroborated based on available evidence. We are honest about what we don’t know and refrain from unfounded speculation.
d) Our journalists never engage in deliberate plagiarism or distortion of facts or context, including visual information.
e) We verify claims, information, and allegations independently, especially those made by public officials or individuals with agendas beyond truth-seeking. Unsubstantiated content is clearly attributed.
f) Taza Times Now stands by the accuracy of the information we publish. If errors are identified, we promptly correct them to maintain the trust of our audience. We do not knowingly mislead our audience or present invented material as facts. Serious factual errors are acknowledged and corrected quickly, clearly, and appropriately.
g) We provide the public with a fair opportunity to report inaccuracies or errors in our reporting through the ‘Suggest A Correction’ section available at the end of every web story.
h) Our journalists’ primary responsibility includes reporting, writing, and fact-checking stories. All stories undergo review by one or more editors, with the level of scrutiny determined by factors such as complexity, sensitivity, and time pressure.
